Full Description
The home
This is a standalone house inside a secure, gated complex, with its own private entrance. With no neighbors on the other side of the wall, it feels like a private hideaway in the middle of the city, while downtown, the Gaslamp Quarter and the Zoo are only a short drive away.
Sleeping
Bedroom: a plush queen bed with high-thread-count white linens, extra pillows, blackout shades and a ceiling fan.
Living room: a stylish sofa that pulls out to a queen bed.
Kitchen
The full-size kitchen is set up for real cooking, with a 5-burner gas stove and oven, a full fridge and freezer, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a Keurig coffee station and a professional knife set, plus cookware, plates and utensils for three. There’s no dishwasher.
Living & working
The bright, open living area has a 50-inch smart TV and a split AC and heating unit that keeps the living space comfortable year-round (fans are provided for the bedroom). Wi-Fi runs at 100+ Mbps, fast enough for Zoom calls and large uploads, and there’s a dedicated workspace. The washer and dryer are right in the home. Books, a crib on request and a drip coffee maker alongside the Keurig round things out.
The neighborhood
A grocery store and a much-loved local taco truck are steps from the complex entrance. Grant Hill Park is about a 5-minute walk, the trolley is about 10 minutes on foot, and the San Diego Zoo, Petco Park, the Convention Center, the Gaslamp Quarter and the airport are all 5 to 15 minutes away by car.
Guest access
You’ll have the entire home to yourself. Check in any time after 4:00 PM with the keypad. Your free dedicated parking spot is in the alley behind the rear gate (uncovered), and there’s free street parking nearby too.
Good to know
The plumbing is sensitive, so please flush only toilet paper. A bin is provided for everything else.
Security cameras cover the front yard, back yard and parking only. There are no cameras inside the home.
A Pack ’n Play and high chair are available on request for a small fee.

Ahmed’s place was secure and private. We appreciated how the location was in a gated area and how it was very quiet and separate from other listings within the complex. It was also nice not to worry about finding street parking, since we had our own private parking spot. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, and the bed was super comfy.
