Full Description
The home
This is a standalone house inside a secure, gated complex, with its own private entrance. With no neighbors on the other side of the wall, it feels like a private hideaway in the middle of the city, while downtown, the Gaslamp Quarter and the Zoo are only a short drive away.
Sleeping
Bedroom: a plush queen bed with high-thread-count white linens, extra pillows, blackout shades and a ceiling fan.
Living room: a stylish sofa that pulls out to a queen bed.
Kitchen
The full-size kitchen is set up for real cooking, with a 5-burner gas stove and oven, a full fridge and freezer, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a Keurig coffee station and a professional knife set, plus cookware, plates and utensils for three. There’s no dishwasher.
Living & working
The bright, open living area has a 55-inch smart TV and a split AC and heating unit that keeps the living space comfortable year-round (fans are provided for the bedroom). Wi-Fi runs at 100+ Mbps, fast enough for Zoom calls and large uploads. The washer and dryer are right in the home. The sunny dining nook with moss-green barrel chairs is the perfect spot for morning coffee.
The neighborhood
A grocery store and a much-loved local taco truck are steps from the complex entrance. Grant Hill Park is about a 5-minute walk, the trolley is about 10 minutes on foot, and the San Diego Zoo, Petco Park, the Convention Center, the Gaslamp Quarter and the airport are all 5 to 15 minutes away by car.
Guest access
You’ll have the entire home to yourself. Check in any time after 4:00 PM with the keypad. Your free dedicated parking spot is in the alley behind the rear gate (uncovered), and there’s free street parking nearby too.
Good to know
The plumbing is sensitive, so please flush only toilet paper. A bin is provided for everything else.
Security cameras cover the front and rear gates only. There are no cameras inside the home.
A Pack ’n Play and high chair are available on request for a small fee.

This is my second time staying in one of these houses and all I can say is every time I am incredibly happy! Everything you could possibly need, you will find here! I love how there’s a small market across the street. Absolutely worth it and affordable!
Amazing place in San Diego! It was the perfect location with easy access to everything we wanted to do. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook small meals, the bed was super comfortable, and having things like shampoo, salt and pepper and a hairdryer was really nice for an easy stay.
We had a very pleasant stay. All the accommodations exceeded our expectations. Ahmed is a great host and very responsive. The location of the property is great. We found some good places to dine and shop.
The place was exactly as described. The designated parking space was a major selling point, as it provided peace of mind knowing my vehicle was safe. The location is also very convenient, with a short Uber ride to downtown. Clean, comfortable, and inviting.
Ahmed’s place was fantastic! The neighborhood and neighbors were very quiet our entire stay. The space is entirely to you and was clean. We visited during a heat wave and the A/C worked very well.
