Full Description
The home
This is a standalone house inside a secure, gated complex. With no neighbors on the other side of the wall, it feels like a private hideaway in the middle of the city, while downtown, the Gaslamp Quarter and the Zoo are only a short drive away.
Bedrooms
Primary bedroom: a plush queen bed with high-thread-count white linens and extra pillows.
Second bedroom: a daybed with a pull-out twin trundle (two single beds), great for kids or friends.
Both rooms have blackout shades, fans and roomy closets with extra linens.
Kitchen
The full-size kitchen is set up for real cooking, with a 5-burner gas stove and oven, a full fridge and freezer, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a Keurig coffee station and a professional knife set, plus cookware, plates and utensils for four. There’s no dishwasher.
Living & working
The bright, open living area has a 70-inch smart TV and a split AC and heating unit that keeps the living space comfortable year-round (fans are provided for the bedrooms). Wi-Fi runs at 300+ Mbps, fast enough for Zoom calls and large uploads, and there’s a dedicated workspace. The washer and dryer are right in the home. Unwind in the egg chair, a guest favorite for reading or lounging, or step out to the little shared patio with outdoor seating.
The neighborhood
A grocery store and a much-loved local taco truck are steps from the complex entrance. Grant Hill Park is about a 5-minute walk, the trolley is about 10 minutes on foot, and the San Diego Zoo, Petco Park, the Convention Center, the Gaslamp Quarter and the airport are all 5 to 15 minutes away by car.
Guest access
You’ll have the entire home to yourself. Check in any time after 4:00 PM with the keypad. Your free dedicated parking spot is in the alley behind the rear gate (uncovered), and there’s free street parking nearby too.
Good to know
The plumbing is sensitive, so please flush only toilet paper. A bin is provided for everything else.
Security cameras cover the front and rear gates (360° cameras) only. There are no cameras inside the home.
A Pack ’n Play and high chair are available on request for a small fee.

This place honestly exceeded our expectations. Everything was very clean, tidy, and comfortable, and the host even had the AC on for us before we arrived, which was such a thoughtful touch. We also really loved the little private yard and felt very safe staying here.
We spent a week at Ahmed's and felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Ahmed is one of the most responsive and friendly hosts we have encountered and he went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, the kitchen was fully functional, the furniture was super comfortable, and the decor was really cool!
Absolutely would stay here again! I loved everything about this place, it was so cozy, clean, and welcoming. I truly felt at home. The host was incredibly communicative, responsive, and helpful throughout my stay, which made the experience even better.
This was a great choice for spring break. Centrally located and comfortable for 2 adults and a kid. The kitchen was great and there’s a huge TV for relaxing at the end of the day. Ahmed communicated clearly and was very responsive to any questions we had.
